Royal Armouries – Chinese New Year Celebrations
The period from 12th to 26th February, also known as the Spring Festival, marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year. The Lunar New Year festival, celebrated throughout Asia, traditionally includes family gatherings, lion and dragon dances, as well as fireworks and gift giving.
The Royal Armouries has a fine collection of interesting objects originating in China. Researchers will find these images and more by searching their image library.
Are you working on a new research project or publication? Royal Armouries Licensing Team is working remotely at the moment but still available to assist with any image licensing queries or picture research. Please get in touch by emailing licensing@armouries.org.uk and they will respond as soon as possible.
